Today is a sick day for us. Little Cheese is under the weather and is enjoying some resting time on the couch. Sick days are hard to actually classify, I think as a homeschooling mom. As a general rule for public school, a fever means no school. But what does that look like for a school that is located at home?
Here is my very fluid guideline. A fever means that one is sick. More sick than just saying "...oh I don't feel good." However, a fever doesn't automatically mean no school. There are so many times that a fever, although it can make one feel a little cruddy, doesn't mean that one isn't ready to play-and play hard!
So, if Little Cheese doesn't feel well but is more than happy to play, play, play...we do a little bit of school. Kinda like a delayed schedule at a public school. If Little Cheese wants to do nothing but be still, we have a true sick day.
Today is a be still day.
