Using a ruler for more than a straight line!

A trusty ruler. Yep, who would have thought that a trusty ruler would serve so many purposes in homeschooling. Not only does it serve the purpose, of well, measuring of course, but it also serves the purpose of a number line. My daughter is adding and subtracting single digit and double digit numbers and still likes to be able to use a number line when her fingers just won't go high enough.

Pull out that trusty ruler and use the centimeter side. It is an awesome number line and can be used will all sorts of worksheets.
